Learning Simple Bagobo Requests or Commands




1.   Unsad ka.     Sit down.

2.   Yakag palagoy.    Don't run.

3.   Kan ka dn.    You go and eat. 

4.   Kuman ki or Kuman ki dn.    Let's eat.

5.   Padigos ka dn.    Take a bath.


6.   Umeng ka din.  Go and cook.

7.   Tudog ka dn.   Go to sleep.

8.   Dap-pog ka dn.  Wash your face.
9.   Uras ka kanan lima no.  You wash your hands.

10. Urasi no yan paa no or Uras ka kanan paa no.   Wash your feet.

11. Pano kad.  You can go.

12. Dini kam pa or Sad-dini ka.  Come here.

13. Me-nm ke ka kape. Let's have coffee.

14. Sake ka kato kuda.  Ride the horse.

15. Sad-duton ka kandin.  You go to him.

Ginawa yu...!

    1. Well... when I was young I kept hearing some folks say, "Andin to ag ulitin no?" or "Dun ag ulitin no?" They literally mean "What do you want to say" or "Do you want to tell me someting?"
      I'm not sure if that is the same as "What is your story?"
      Perhaps something like, "Andin to istorya no?"
      Honestly, I cannot translate the word "story"...
